Going Back to Class Always Sucks

Today and yesterday were my "first days" of the new semester. Yesterday it was cloudy and nice, and both of my classes were back to back, first thing in the morning. I was falsely optimistic. So much so, in fact, that I didn't feel the need to post anything about it. But today sucked. Today sucked a lot. And now I have something to gripe about.

Not only was it not cloudy today, there was no wind and it was 72F... or more, sometimes I think the weather chart is a lie. How is it so hot already?! So I walked across campus to Speech today, sweating all of the mousse out of my hair, to be welcomed by a big "class is canceled for the rest of the week" sign. Yay? That would've been a much better message to read VIA E-MAIL. Anyway.

So I went back to the dorm. Chilled for a few hours. Ventured out again to go to Microeconomics around 3. The sun was less blistering now, and the walk was shorter, so that was nice. I started feeling pretty good (which is a bad way to feel walking into a new class, I now think). The talk was sooo boring, and the professor could NOT stay on point. I found myself getting more and more frustrated over small things, until I had the worst headache I've had all year... maybe longer. Nargh. Now I am sitting in an Intro to Digital Media course... which I'm hoping I will love. But the headache is still present, so maybe not.

Finally, this is what I will look like tonight. :D

  1. Oh man, I absolutely hate when a class is canceled and they don't bother to e-mail anybody. Especially because I check my school e-mail like crazy, always praying something will be canceled. XD

  2. Boo to hot days & lack of class cancellation notification (has definitely happened to me before...)! Whatcha studying, if I may be so bold as to enquire?

Yeah, it sucks. XD; My only teacher who's been good about that is my Spanish teacher... and even she only remembers to e-mail at 4am the morning of class. Still, it got me into a good habit, checking.

Hehe, thanks for the empathy. :)
I'm studying Digital Media with intent to continue in the Visual Language track. Ideally, it would mean I'd get to work on animated movies and/or videogames for my career.
